The University of California Botanical Garden is a living museum open to the public featuring one of the most diverse plant collections in the United States. Established in 1890, the Garden's 34 acres contain over 12,000 different kinds of plants from all over the world arranged by region.

The Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful backdrops for weddings, reunions, conferences and other occasions. Nine venues are available, ranging from the Garden of Old Roses which seats 30, to Oak Knoll (picnics only, 24-60 occupancy), indoor rooms seating 32-71 people, the Conference Center (103 maximum occupancy), to the Stephen J. Mather Redwood Grove and Amphitheatre (100-130). 2-hour minimum rental is required for each site.
